Percussion Section to Perform in International Competition
Car Wash Fund Raisers
The Hebron High School Percussion Section will be competing
this November in the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC)
competition in
Austin,
Texas. This will be the first time the Hebron Percussionists will have the
opportunity to participate in the world’s premier drum and percussion
event. The festival is open to high school
and college students and drum lines and includes individual competition on
snare, tenor, keyboard, and timpani, as well as marching, standstill and small
ensemble categories. Participants will
also have the opportunity to attend clinics and concerts in all areas of
percussion.
The Hebron Percussion Section will be holding car washes
this summer to raise funds for the cost of attending this event. The next event will be held Saturday, July 26th from
9:00 to
3:00 at the Albertson’s Express,
4025 Old Denton Road,
in
Carrollton
and also at the Rosemeade Chevron at
3700
Old Denton Rd. (Rosemead/Old Denton) in
Carrollton. Rosemeade
Chevron is a sponsor of the
Hebron
High School percussion
section. Drum line members will be performing for the public throughout the
day. Donations are welcome!
