2008 Duke TIP Summer Programs for High school Students Grades 9-12

To identify academically talented students and provide innovative programs which support the development of their optimal educational potential.

MITE:  Introduction to Engineering 2008 at The University of Texas at Austin.

 

10-11 graders

MITE is a 5 day program that presents the opportunity to discover the exciting world of engineering through hands-on experiences and interaction with engineering students, faculty, staff and alumni from the Cockrell School of Engineering.  Program expenses paid by UT Austin.

The University of Mississippi

Summer College

Students live in a university resident hall during a 4 week summer session and enroll in two college courses for which they earn up to seven hours of college credit.

Asian American Journalists Association:  J Camp

 

July 18-23 at Loyola University in Chicago, IL

This free 6-day training camp will bring together a multicultural group of high school students to sharpen their journalism skills and work in a unique learning environment.

Texas State University Honors Summer Math Camp

 

June 22-Aug 2, 2008

Any student is encouraged to apply regardless of financial background.  The program is sponsored by the American Math Society, Intel, Siemens, the Kodosky Foundation and others who have provided scholarships for students with financial need.
