Free College Credit

The Global EDGE has developed a simple way to obtain College Tech Prep credits though locally articulated courses with Collin County Community College.

Two easy steps are needed to obtain tuition-free college credits once students have completed the articulated high school course with a grade of “B” or better and pass a tech prep exam (if exam applies to the particular course).

1.  Enroll in Collin County Community College within 24 months of high school graduation and declare any associates degree major.

2.  Bring or mail a high school transcript to the Global EDGE office at Collin County, and complete a Petition for College Tech Prep Credit.

Download the Petition at http://ftp.ccccd.edu/globaledge/ or stop by a CCCC registrars’ office, a CCCC admissions office, or the Global EDGE office on the Central Park campus.

Students may potentially earn up to 12 college credits tuition-free.
