College Admission Process

College Planning Timeline - Consult your junior/senior handbook for helpful timelines.

Plan ahead and know your deadlines!

College Applications - College applications ask for lots of information. Give yourself plenty of time to gather information.

Transcript - Print out a transcript request here. Print out a parental release form here.
Fill them out and bring to the counseling secretary. The registrar sends transcripts every Tuesday and Thursday. Please be aware that although we send out transcripts promptly, colleges receive 500-600 pieces of mail every day and it will take time for them to get that information entered into their computers. The parental release form is new and authorizes us to release your test scores with your transcript.

Counselor Recommendations - Print a request for recommendation here. Fill it out and bring it to the counselors. Please give your counselor 2 weeks notice. Some applications have a page for your counselor to fill in information and give a recommendation. Complete your part of the form to request for a recommendation.

Teacher Recommendations - If you ask your teacher to write you a letter of recommendation please give them a stamped, addressed envelope. Ask them to mail the letter directly to the college by the application deadline. Have them include your full name and social security number on their letter. Please give them 2 weeks notice.
