packet concerning Course Selections for the 2008-2009 school year

Why take NJROTC?
·
(1) It satisfies Physical Education (PE), Health,
and Elective course requirements.
·
(2) NJROTC teaches cadets self-discipline,
self-confidence and leadership skills that can
help you
successfully meet life’s challenges.
·
(3) The NJROTC curriculum, instruction and
activities are designed to develop
leadership
ability regardless of one’s career path.
·
(4) NJROTC will help interested students obtain a
college ROTC scholarship or an
appointment
to the
others.
·
(5) Cadets are under no obligation to join the armed services, this is not a recruiting
program, it
is a course much like a leadership or civics class.
A Cadet in the Hebron Navy JROTC
will find numerous activities to participate in such as:

Annual Military Ball (Formal
ceremony and dance involving cadets from the 5 LISD high schools).
·
Academic, Athletic, Drill
Team and Color Guard competitions throughout the state.
·
·
Educational field trips, Campouts
and Social events.
·
Orienteering (compass
navigation outdoors).
