The Hebron Orchestra is comprised of two performing groups. Symphonic Orchestra is the junior varsity orchestra which meets during 3rd period. Chamber Orchestra is our varsity level group, which meets during 4th period. Both orchestras are open to students in grades 9-12. Prerequisite: participation in middle school orchestra. Selection is by audition and teacher recommendation. All students will have opportunities to participate in UIL, All-Region, and Solo and Ensemble. The orchestras perform on campus, and in community events. In the spring, the students compete in a local contest (for example Meyerson Symphony Hall). In addition, there are opportunities for in-state and out of state performances on the spring trip. Students are graded on class participation, playing tests, rehearsals, written tests, and concert attendance.
