What is the Math Club?
The Math Club is a group of Hebron High students who have an interest in math. Membership is available to all, at any level of math. Fees are only $5. If you are interested in joining, talk with Ms. Luu or Ms.Meldrum
The Math Club has two main interests. One is in tutoring students. Tutoring is offered Peer tutoring will be after school on Thursdays from 4:10 to 5:10 pm in Room 2400. Although math is our primary emphasis, we also tutor in all subjects.
The Math Club's other interest is in competition, so some members participate in UIL competitions in three different categories: number sense, mathmatics and calculator competition.
Mu Alpha Theta
What is Mu ALPHA THETA?
Mu Alpha Theta is an honorary Math Organization. To become a member, the student must be an ACTIVE member of the HHS Math Club, have completed geometry and have semester grades of 85 or above in all math classes taken. For more information, click here to go to the official Mu ALPHA THETA web site.
Congratulations!
Congrats to Jodie Hamner and Justin Doebner for
winning the first Math Club scholarship. They each got a scholarship for
$200! Many thanks to all the Math Club members for their participation
in the PBJ sales and car hopping we did for this cause.
